A top White House adviser starkly warned Trump administration officials in late January that the coronavirus crisis could cost the United States trillions of dollars and put millions of Americans at risk of illness or death. []

Donald Trump got an early warning. But he did not treat the US citizens as adults. Thus, no appropriate countermeasures were taken. Trump got thousands of people killed.

One reason for hiding the truth is that one of the main components of Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign was to take his followers to the streets – and finally to the lawn and steps of the US Capitol. In order to create a furious mob, Trump had to downplay the CoViD-19 hazard. Trump sacrificed his followers (and also their families, friends and colleagues).
